What can be more serious in putting fear in one’s heart than fire? And not just a simple fire, but one that is ten times more hot than this world’s fire. Only those who are bold and brave enough to argue and be arrogant to Allah (swt), they would be the first to face this fire.
For example: If one person has twelve children and he told them if they did something wrong, he would punish them by: (1) locking them up in a dark room (2) throw them in a deep dark hole (3) throw them into a river (4) put them to lie down on a hot iron (5) cut off their hands and feet (6) throw them into a deep dark pit of blazing fire. Which one of the punishment is more fearful?
I am sure it would be the blazing fire, but yet there are men who deliberately and persistently rejected all teachings, warnings and guidance, so this is what they would achieve from their disobedience towards their Lord, as verse 63 & 64 above mentioned. What man have to realize is that Allah (swt) does not joke around, His warnings are serious and His promise are very sure, there are fairy tales or false messages from the Holy Qur’an, it is a practical guide, true and correct.
Allah (swt) also mainly chose hell fire for the punishment of His disobedient servants, because the King and master for the unbelieving servants is Shaitan, and Shaitan home is no place other than the hell pit, full of fire etc., so who so ever listened and obey him in his evil influences, then they shall end up with him. Shaitan was also made out of fire, as mention in the Holy Qur’an: ((Allah)) said:
“O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?”38:75
(Iblis) said: “I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay.” 38:76
Selfish and arrogance was the seed of sin and rebellion, God Almighty decree of justice requires that every soul should taste the consequences of their own sins.
All the previous arrogance of this life will be gone, but they will face each other and those who were given a false lead, will question their misleaders in the hereafter, as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an:
And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 37:27
They will say: “It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!” 37:28
They will reply: “Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 37:29
“Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 37:30
“So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 37:31
“We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray.” 37:32
Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 37:33Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 37:34
For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 37:35
And say: “What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?”37:36
Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the apostles (before him). 37:37
Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty; 37:38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought; 37:39.
