Allah (swt) in His mercy has provided a piercing light to penetrate our spiritual darkness, and made our being responsive to the growth of spiritual understanding. Gentle forbearance with evil shows our trust in Allah (swt) and in His plan. If we assist or compromise with evil or wrong doings, we fail to put it down when we have the ability to do so, then we would lose all hope, our faith in Allah (swt) would be weakening and as such, we would have no visible power to prevent evil. And as such evil would lead us astray further and further into its clutches. But repentance and amendments with sincerity will for sure help one to steer themselves back on the right path, Allah (swt) will help such of His servants back on the right path, but He would leave those who are too arrogant to accept their wrong doings and humble themselves in seeking the right and smooth way back to Him. He would leave them to stray to and fro, they will get no help or any guidance from Him, unless they are willing to change their lives into a better one.
The people who ruin their whole future by evil, they introduce a discord into creation. Who Allah (swt) leaves to stray, they are the unfortunate ones, who prepare their own ruin.
