The Holy Qur’an talk about men taking their wives to Jannat 43:70-73). What if the wife or wives are evil? E.g. If the wives are disloyal to the husband and if they are disobedient and stubborn or if the wife is an adulterous person etc.

The Holy Qur’an states:

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). 4:34.

Two kinds of wives are mentioned in the above verse, my understanding to this verse is if the wife and husband live their lives with love and respect for each other, and the wife carry herself very respectfully and obey her husband, then for sure they both would be able to enter Allah (swt) Kingdom.  And if the wife (or wives) is evil and disobedient to her husband and the husband is a faithful man to his Creator and he is going to Jannat, then he wouldn’t be able to seek help for her to be with him in Jannat. Only if she seeks amendment and forgiveness from him and from Allah (swt) before he passes away, or before she passes away, then and only then she would be able to gain entry into Jannat. As mentioned in the Holy Qur’an:

Allah accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will Allah turn in mercy: For Allah is full of knowledge and wisom.4:17

Of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil. 4; 18

Adultery (and fortification) is a crime most shameful.

Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils).17:32

Adultery is not only shameful in itself and inconsistent with any self respect, for others it open the road to many evil. It destroys the basis of the family; it works against the interest of children born or to be born. It may cause murder and feuds etc.

The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: 24:2

As we read from the Holy Qur’an from the above verse, we must understand that there is punishment for sin and goodness for good.
