Is this injustice: I pray like other’s do, but I do not have spiritual insight?

Allah, There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). 2:255

Where there are arrogant in piety, spiritual insight would be weakening, and one might not even get any.

Allah (swt) is not unjust; He cares for all His creatures, His creature’s life conduct (especially mankind) dependent on His will and on His command. But He in His infinite wisdom and His plan may grade His creatures and give one superiority over others. It all depends on our sincerity in our conduct and in our prayers to Him.

Spiritual insight comes through hard task of hard laboring, striving to stay (close to Allah (swt) and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad owbp) on the right path, after got pushed over and over by the Shaitan, with hard struggle, fighting to get on back on the right path; it is like this: Imagine something which the hands can grasp for safety in a moment of danger, it may be a loop or a handle or an anchor (not someone’s head), we cannot hurt someone feelings in our struggle. The ones that gain insight in his test, trial and tribulations, he didn’t look to hurt someone’s feelings to get back on the right path, he bear and he forbear with patience and prayers, so he choose something to save him that doesn’t have flaws that can hurt someone’s feelings, and as such he got superiority. Allah (swt) plan is universal, He endowed with gifts, some more than some, we must never lose faith, we must pray to Him with courage and firmness and success will reach us.

The Holy Qur’an states:

He said: “Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance.”20:50

The people who are bless with spiritual insight and those who are not, are therefore in different categories: Allah (swt) in His wisdom and in His plan may grade His creatures and give one superiority over another. Then by His will and permission who He gives superiority may intercede or help accordingly to the laws and duties laid on him: But if some arrogance started to creep into his mind, Allah (swt) will slowly take away that gift of superiority from him. As mentioned in

2:256, Whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold.

For one to gain spiritual insight, their motives has to be honest and pure at all times, every move or step they take must be of humbleness, kindness and remorseful. They must always be in the race to help the poor and needy people, and also the rest of Allah’s (swt) creatures, that are in need of some help.

If we are praying and our motive is not based on justice, we cannot get the gift of spiritual insight, nor will any sense of envy and boasting help us to gain that blessing as well. God in His infinite mercy always overlook and forgive His creatures over and over. He is never in the least unjust at any time to His creatures. May He help us with wisdom and understanding to live a better and pure life.
