In our daily lives where our jobs are concerned, we are going through lots of frustrations at time and again, and we do not give up because we need the money to live on, so in every trade, skill or job, there is frustration at times, and if we give up, then there would be more problems in our lives. To do some trading, it takes some frustration to sell our merchandise and even to buy stuff, because we have to make deals on some things. Sometimes we have to be forceful and headstrong in getting along with people who are obstinate and selfish. So what we have to do meeting up people who oppressed us in buying our merchandise, we have to exercise patience because we want to sell our product. In verse 61:10, Allah (swt) is offering us a bargain that will lead to salvation. His bargain is our pledge to believe in Him and His Prophet Muhammad (owbp), and to work very hard for His cause. Such as to be kind to His creations, to be humble, to help the poor and the needy people etc.
To give Allah (swt) our promise to believe sincerely in Him and in His Prophets would be an easy thing for us to do, but we have to always remember that, not only our belief in Him and His Prophet would lead us to salvation. We have to strive our utmost best with our property and with our person as mentioned in 61:11. Now let’s see the meaning for property, assets, belongings, capital, goods, riches, wealth, buildings, estate, person, soul, character, mortal and oneself.
So with the meaning from verses 61:10 and 61:11, Allah (swt) is telling us, if sincerely accept His bargain, then we have to give in charity from some of our wealth, and we have to give in charity as well our labor, such as (1) help the poor, the needy. If someone is suffering from injustice, help them with some comforting words, do the same to help someone who suffering from oppression etc. Also help to build a Masjid visit the sick and also help out animals that are suffering.
In this life we might be suffering the consequences from our good actions, because some people are jealous of us, and they are taking on the Shaitaan whispering to torment us, so we just have to exercise patience and self restraint, ignore, and bear and forebear. We have to remember that we were offered a part of Allah (swt) Kingdom when we accepted His bargain, and if we were to buy a part of the Queen’s Kingdom in England, can we really imagine how the people around us would be jealous of us? And the struggle we would have to go through?
Allah’s (swt) bargain is indeed a great and wonderful favor to us, to give so little and to receive so much. As we read and learn from the Holy Qur’an:
He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement. 61:12.
And another (favour will He bestow,) which ye do love,- help from Allah and a speedy victory. So give the Glad Tidings to the Believers.61:13.
Let us bear this in our minds at all times, for all struggle and hard striving in Allah (swt) path, is the righteous path, and how ever much the odds against us may be, we are sure of victory with Allah’s (swt) help. This life is short, our suffering will end here, Insha Allah, and our joys and happiness will be bigger in our new life after death. Ameen
To accept Allah (swt) bargain is like buying and selling something, as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an:
But give tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is Gardens, beneath which rivers flow. Every time they are fed with fruits therefrom, they say: “Why, this is what we were fed with before,” for they are given things in similitude; and they have therein companions pure (and holy); and they abide therein (for ever).2:25.
Allah (swt) is asking us to share the good news of His bargain, and the reward behind of it. The gardens are the symbol of felicity, and what can be more delightful than a garden where you observe from a picturesque height, a beautiful landscape around you? And rivers flowing with crystal waters, and fruit trees of which the choicest fruit is before you.
