What God Almighty gets from us if we worship Him as he told us to do?

The Holy Qur’an states:

We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us. 50:38.

Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting. 50:39

And during part of the night, (also,) celebrate His praises, and (so likewise) after the postures of adoration. 50:40

The basis of the moral laws is for man’s own good, and not any benefit to God Almighty, for He is above all wants and all needs. It is us who needs Him, He does not need us, for He is worthy of all praises, thanks and gratitude. Even in praising Him, we do not do Him any favor by advancing His glory.

The Holy Qur’an states:

“And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster. 31:18

“And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass.” 31:19

To Allah belong all things in heaven and earth: verily Allah is He (that is) free of all wants, worthy of all praise. 31:26

And if all the trees on earth were pens and the ocean (were ink), with seven oceans behind it to add to its (supply), yet would not the words of Allah be exhausted (in the writing): for Allah is Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. 31:27

O mankind! do your duty to your Lord, and fear (the coming of) a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the promise of Allah is true: let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah. 31:33

As we obey Him, He get’s our love, our thanks, our gratitude, our respect and our praises. In return He shelter us with His mercies and His guidance, and in the hereafter, we would get the enjoyment of peace and satisfaction. As mentioned in the Holy Qur’an:

Verily the Companions of the Garden shall that Day have joy in all that they do; 36:55

They and their associates will be in groves of (cool) shade, reclining on Thrones (of dignity); 36:56

(Every) fruit (enjoyment) will be there for them; they shall have whatever they call for; 36:57

“Peace!” – a word (of salutation) from a Lord Most Merciful! 36:58

We Insha Allah will reach the highest gate of Bliss, who obeys His laws with love and sincerity. We would see then how He is not only a Lord! And Cherisher, but a Lord whose Supreme Glory is Mercy, Peace and Harmony.
