Respect for one’s parents, especially their mother’s. For a father displeasure is Allah’s (swt) displeasure, and a mother’s love and respect leads one to a very happy and prosperous life in this world and in the hereafter. As the old sayings goes: Paradise lies at the feet of thy mother.
As stated in the Holy Qur’an:
He said: “I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet; 19:30
“(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable; 19:32.
Great example Allah (swt) has shown us this verse, how important it is to have respect for our mothers. Our Beloved Prophet’s Hazrat Isa (Jesus) and Hazrat Musa (Moses), Allah (swt) makes him protect their mother’s honour when he was in the cradle. He was a Prophet as the Holy Qur’an mentioned in the above verse, and he proudly told the people how Allah (swt) ordered him to love and respect his mother. Mother’s play a very important role in a family, she is the root of a household, the more respect she gets, the more life would be easier for her and everyone else in her household. Allah’s (swt) kindness and justice would spread into that home. Likewise: If a mother heart is sad and corrupted due to disrespectfulness and ill treatment towards her, everyone in that household would fall apart. Allah’s (swt) curse would envelop that home and as such there would be no peace, just corruption all the time. This may even lead to violence and injustice. Allah (swt) dislikes those who curse their mother.
