How can one tell that they are not receiving God Almighty Grace?

A person who is not receiving Allah’s (swt) Grace, is of many ways in their life’s conduct:

1. One who fear for Allah (swt) is not strong enough, for him to build all his hope and his trust in Allah (swt), he takes action in his own hands to inflict sufferment and grief on the people who wrong him, when he should be forgiving and merciful. Allah (swt) is only Merciful to those who show mercy.
2. If there is no prosperity (spiritually) in one’s conduct, no tenderness, tender hearted or forbearance, no achievement of being bad to good, always easily to give up the little faith which they may have in Allah (swt).
3. In troubles, they are always quick to question Allah (swt) without even trying His aid through His remembrance and prayers.
4. Some love Allah (swt) when there is no trouble in their lives, but as soon as trouble reaches them, they are ready to resist Him and question faith.
5. Everything in their life on this earth would be a burden to them.
6. They are always in brag and aggressive mood, they are never happy with themselves, even if they get love from others, they will not know the meaning of it.
7. They never appreciative, they do things in arrogance and boldness; they fear no one and do not like anyone but themselves.
8. They do not regard anyone’s feelings except for people like themselves, they are selfish, even a mother tears which can melt a mountain in the twinkle of an eye, it will not do any good to them (to put God Grace in their hearts).
9. They do not know the meaning of sacrifice, real pain and real grief; how sad! What a shame and waste of life.

Those who shire such an opportunity to love Allah (swt) and to fear Him (which is to be kind, merciful, forbearing, just and pure) know not the real joyful feelings of receiving Allah’s (swt) Grace (salvation). If they do not change themselves before death, they would indeed suffer the hell fire, how sad! Indeed very sad. The Holy Qur’an states:

The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before!
